Christmas 2010

Sunday, January 16, 2011

Well, we had a great Christmas 2010.  It was the first one where Kara really got into the presents.  I think she had as much fun opening them as she did playing with what was inside!  Below are a few pictures from Christmas including the Annual Barrett Christmas Tree Hunt, Christmas Morning, and a few randoms.

Halloween Is Here Again

Sunday, October 31, 2010

Halloween is here again and this year Kara went as a little lamb.  As you can see by the pictures, her fleece really was as white as snow.  She is still getting the trick-or-treat thing down pat, but has mastered scooping pumpkins out.  Jessica artistically carved the pumpkin design as you can tell by the hypocycloid eyes. Time to go eat some candy…

Furman Homecoming

Sunday, October 31, 2010

We all had a great time at Furman’s homecoming this year.  Unfortunately, the Paladin’s football team decided to take their fall break early this year as in the 4th quarter.  Kara had a blast walking around campus since it’s just one big park.  I’m still recovering from purple overload…

Corn Maze at Fender’s Farm

Saturday, October 16, 2010

Kara and I went to our first corn maze today; however, Jessica is the corn maze veteran of the family.   This particular one at Fender’s Farm in Jonesborough was spread out over 7 acres.  It was a good time and Kara managed to get us out, just barely.  We saw lots of pumpkins out there, so now its appropriate to watch  “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown”.

PS.  We also had a shot of Kara from Wake’s homecoming that we had to throw in as well.

Kara’s First Birthday

Sunday, September 19, 2010

Wow, what a party!  Kara had all her favorite dogs in attendance including Violet, Buster and of course Pacha.  She really got into opening presents by the end, though she still isn’t quite sure what to think of Birthday Cake.
